Coordination of pensions and international agreements

The rules for the coordination of pensions within the EU shall apply mutatis mutandis to the application of bilateral social security agreements (Please see the EU pension coordination). These include, in particular, the submission of an application in the State of residence (but not in the State of last employment), aggregation of insurance periods, or payment of pensions abroad. However, in each individual case, it is necessary to rely on the specific content of the international agreement in question. For more about international agreements see here.
