Benefit calculation and its amount

The amount of a pension is primarily influenced by two factors: the length of the deceased person’s pension insurance period and the amount of their earnings achieved during the period in question. The percentage assessment amounts to 40% of the percentageassessment of the pension that the deceased person was receiving (or would have been receiving) at the date of death. The base assessment is payable in full. A child who loses both parents receives an orphan’s pension in relation to each parent, provided that the legal conditions are met. In this case, both the base assessment and the percentageassessment of the higher pension are due in full, while only the percentage-based assessment of the lower pension is paid.

The exact pension calculation will be made by CSSA only in the pension entitlement proceedings.
