Social insurance of self-employed persons

Participation in the pension insurance and payment of insurance premiums and contributions to the state employment policy are mandatory for the self-employed persons if certain legal conditions are met. Sickness insurance is voluntary. Insurance premiums are paid by the self-employed person himself or herself.
