Identification numbers of an employer and employee used in the Single Monthly Employer Report
Personal Identification Number:
The Personal Identification Number (OIČ, also referred to as IK MPSV) is a newly introduced numerical identifier assigned by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic to each natural person for identification within the Ministry’s systems. Each natural person is assigned only one identifier, and it does not change.
The OIČ is assigned when a natural person is first registered by an employer as an employee in the Employee Register. The employer must state the assigned Personal Identification Number in all submissions under this Act which relate to that employee.
Employment Identifier:
The Employment Identifier (IZ, also referred to as ID PPV) is a newly introduced numerical identifier used to identify each individual employment of an employee recorded in the Employee Register. The IZ is assigned by the Czech Social Security Administration (CSSA) for each employment when the employee is registered in the Employee Register. The employer must state the Employment Identifier in all information provided in relation to the specific employment for which the identifier was assigned.
Assignment of basic identification numbers:
Assignment of OIČs and IZs to existing employees
OIČs and IZs for existing employees will be assigned collectively by the CSSA. From March 2026, the employer will be able to download a file (in PDF or CSV format) containing the OIČs and IZs of its employees via the “List of Employees” service on the CSSA ePortal.
Assignment of OIČs and IZs to new employees (from 1 April 2026)
When a new employee is registered, the OIČ and IZ will be notified to the employer via the Submission Receipt sent in response to the employee’s registration in the Employee Register. (When registering an entry in the Employer Register or via REGZEL_DOPL, the employer may also specify a data box to which notifications on the assignment of OIČs and IZs will be sent.) Assigned OIČs and IZs will also be available on the ePortal via the “List of Employees” service.
