Implementation of the project entitled “Strengthening the CSSA’s Capacity in the Field of EU Law on Social Security – BG FTA Project” went ahead in 2010. The aim of the project was to improve the implementation of Community law and cooperation between the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV) and the CSSA primarily with regard to the application of the EU coordination rules, assessment of individuals’ health, collection of social security benefits, data security and electronic exchange of data and CSSA support in the preparation of pension reform. The project’s key outputs were training and exchange of experiences between experts from the NAV and CSSA in the field of information and communication technologies, data security and the MAS in connection with the new coordination regulations and international electronic data exchange. The project was successfully completed in December 2010.
At the end of 2010 a project entitled “Strengthening the Capacity of Institutions from Selected EU States in the Field of the Implementation of Regulations (EEC) No. 883/2004 and No. 987/2009 and Introduction of Electronic Data Exchange (EESSI)” was launched. The project is scheduled to last 24 months. This is an international project that brings together the experiences and know-how of “old” and “new” member states, states testing EESSI and non-testing states; and it is based on open communication and know-how exchange between all partners/insurance administration institutions from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Finland and Bulgaria. CSSZ is managing and coordinating the project. The project’s main objective is to facilitate all the partners’ preparations for implementing EESSI, including exchange of experiences and finding suitable national solutions.
